Howdy and Welcome!

I’m Jennifer Christine, the creator of JC713 Art Alchemy.
I’d love to explore how we might work together. Please see my portfolio and blog below or reach out to begin the conversation!

Endlessly curious, I’m driven by a deep desire to connect—both with people and the world around me. My background spans the dramatic arts, philosophy, socio-cultural anthropology, and psychology.
Originally from Dallas/Houston Texas, I’ve lived across the southern United States, the Midwest, the Mountain West, and the West Coast. Currently, I reside in Central Oregon.

Growing up with a frequently shifting home life, I learned early how to adapt. I can blend in, stand out, or step back entirely—whatever the moment calls for. That adaptability now informs how I see, feel, and create.

Art Alchemy is my signature approach to documentary and fine art photography. It stems from the belief that the ordinary transforms when met with intention. Through my imagery, I seek to offer clarity, evoke emotion, spark connection, inspire change, and ultimately create a shared meaning between viewer, artist, and subject.

My emerging series, The Path to Paradise, investigates the human pursuit of peace amid contradictions of power, prestige, and desire. Through dystopian landscapes set against utopian ideals, the work examines how unquenched longing imprints itself on land and community, with a focus on the Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions of the United States.

Alongside my visual practice, I write essays, poetry, and creative nonfiction exploring personal transformation, social justice issues, practices of embodiment, and forms of self-expression. Missed, is a memoir-in-progress that traces my journey from turmoil to transformation.
Through personal reckoning and community-centered healing, the book explores the alchemical process of awakening curiosity, creativity, and vitality, revealing how what was once missed can be reclaimed and transformed.
